about
As a young person, you have so many aspirations, dreams and ideals of the things you will accomplish by mid-life. When they don't come, you wait while living life. You work a job, get married, have a family and own stuff. One of my daughters wrote this, "Waiting is not just about what I get at the end, but about who I become as I wait. It is the most precious answer he can give us because it makes us cling to Him and not the outcome." So what I have realized in "the waiting" is that living life is about being transformed in the image of Christ and that with the loved ones He has given you. And never stop!
lyrics
I’m livin’ life, waiting for my time to come.
Lived a life in the kingdom, but not sure which one.
They said if I surrendered a new life would begin.
I died so many times, not sure which life I’m in.
I love my wife, the greatest gift I’ve been given.
I watch my kids. I love them too. They are reflections of me in You.
I’ve been given so many things that shows I am blessed.
But fight the idols that keep me from Your kiss.
This is what’s called life. This is living.
Oh, I long for Your breathe in my life. I am the living!
A new chapter is beginning in the book of life.
My embers are dimming, I need You to ignite.
As I run this race called life, always it’s You one, me two.
No assumptions. No pretenses. My life is in You.
This is what’s called life. This is living.
Oh, I long for Your breathe in my life. I am the living!
Life is long, like a marathon.
You start off clean. That new born feeling
You stumble and fall. You skin your knees.
So get back up so you won’t freeze.
Love is long so sing your song.
Reminisce. But there’s a future you don’t want to miss
You’re not done. There’s still kingdom come
On the path, I’m ready for my second half
This is what’s called life. This is living.
Oh, I long for Your breathe in my life. I am the living!
